Echinacea is one of the most popular herbs in the world and its popularity is based on the vast amount of research that has been carried out over the years. It is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants in the daisy family- Asteraceae. Echinacea has a complex mix of active substances, and of most interest compounds called phenols. Many plants contain phenols, active substances that control the activity of a range of enzymes and cell receptors and protect the plant from infections and ultraviolet (UV) radiation damage. Phenols have antioxidant properties, which may be good for human health.
Echinacea has long been used for common colds and is also recommended for cold prevention. Studies have also shown that taking Echinacea food supplements shortens the symptoms of the common cold.
This is one of the most potent products available as Lamberts uses 200mg of standardised extract per tablet, which is made from over 1000mg of dried herb, which is from over 4000mg of fresh herb!
Who should use Lamberts Echinacea tablets:
Directions: 1 to 2 tablets daily or as directed by a practitioner or pharmacist. Do not exceed recommended daily dose.
