Tyrosine is considered a non-essential amino acid because the body can make it from phenylalanine but it is also obtained from high protein foods such as cheese, chicken, fish and soya. It is able to cross the blood-brain barrier. Once in the brain, it is a precursor for the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine better known as adrenalin. These neurotransmitters are an important part of the body´s sympathetic nervous system.
Who should use Lamberts L-tyrosine:
Directions: Take 1 to 4 capsules daily, or as directed by a practitioner or pharmacist. It is preferable to take Amino Acids with fruit juice or water rather than milk. An Amino Acid is best taken 1/2 hour before any meal or at bedtime. Do not exceed recommended daily dose.

Allergen advice: The following list of allergens are excluded: Wheat, Barley, Soya, Eggs, Milk (and milk products), Lactose, Nuts, Sulphites, Celery, Fish, Shellfish, Yeast and Gluten containing ingredients.
Cautions: Not to be used with MAO inhibitors (a type of anti-depressant medicine). This product is not recommended for children or pregnant or lactating women. Keep away from children!
