Pure starflower oil is an important natural source of the omega-6 fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). It is a useful omega-6 fatty acid that has an anti-inflammatory effect in the body. Anti-inflammatory hormone-like compounds prostaglandins (PG1) are produced from GLA, which have several important functions in the body. These prostaglandins (PG1) make blood thinner, relax blood vessels, reduce inflammation and pain, strengthen the immune system, and support skin health.
Starflower (borage) seeds have the highest Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) level of any plant material, and these capsules have a guaranteed level of 220mg GLA, making this product one of the strongest available.
