Vitamin K

Two forms of vitamin K can be distinguished: K1 (phylloquinone) and K2 (menaquinone). The active form – vitamin K2 – is most widely used in preparations. The main functions of vitamin K are to support bones and normal blood clotting. According to recent studies, the combination of vitamins D and K is important for heart and bone health.
